Issyk is a lake located in a picturesque gorge, just an hour’s drive from Almaty. The freshness of the mountain air and the emerald surface of the lake is simply delighted for the eyes and soul. This place is perfect for a picnic or a motorboat ride along the coastline (extra charge). Here you can also arrange an easy hike deep into the gorge, it will not take much time. Issyk Lake is a quiet and relatively uninhabited place, so it serves as a good alternative to a trip to the Big Almaty Lake.

 

This tour is recommended to go in comfortable shoes for trekking, as well as bring drinking water and light snacks. Our guide will treat you to hot tea and delicious cookies.

 

The tour starts from your hotel in Almaty. After the tour, you will be accompanied by a guide to your hotel, or to any other point within the city.
