Tour Program
Safety: The waters of the Chilik River flow at a rate of up to 20 miles per hour. Rafting on this river is considered a good first step into the world of extreme rafting. All instructors adhere strictly to safety rules and guidelines; please note that drinking before rafting is strictly prohibited.
Insurance: All participants are responsible for acquiring their own insurance.
Equipment: All rafts are inflatable rafts used for traversing rapids and are extremely safe as they are made of multi-layered PVC fabric. Paddles, life jackets, helmets, and wetsuits are all provided.
Schedule: 08:00 – Drive from Almaty to the Bartogai Reservoir. 11:30 – Arrival, briefing, and tour. 12:30 – 14:00 – White water rafting. 14:00 – 15:00 – Relax 17:00 – Return to Almaty.

Accommodation in a camp – 40 USD per person
Lower Chilik 2nd category of complexity rafting: 430 USD for 1-10 pax group (the price includes a barbecue area). The program is designed for 2 descents of 10 minutes each.
Upper Chilik (Bartogai) 3d-4th category of complexity: 860 USD for 1-10 pax group.
For July-August – tour price is 1000 USD for 1-10 pax group. The program is designed for one descent of 1.5 hour on water.
The minimum group of tourists is 10 people, smaller groups should pay price for 10 people, and we will run the tour individually for them any day.
What should I bring with me? A small backpack to carry necessary personal items.
Clothing: We recommend bringing light sportswear: bathing suits, shorts, light t-shirts, etc. However, due to the fact that weather in the mountains is unpredictable, we also recommend bringing a spare set of warm clothes.
Shoes: athletic shoes
Do not forget to bring your passports/identification documents in a sealed bag/container.
