Kulunatin National Reserve, founded in 2004, extends across part of the Fergana Valley and Alai Mountain Range in the province of Osh, encompassing 27,000 hectares. The reserve contains 2 gorgeous alpine lakes (Kulun and Ortokol) and stunning gorges where wild herbs grow freely.

Plant and wildlife is extremely diverse in the Kulunatin National Reserve.  Within its boundaries you can find 24 different kinds of mammals, 81 bird species, and 808 plant species. 

Horseback riding tours are popular in the reserve, giving travelers more freedom to explore its beauty.  Bird watching in this area is also highly recommended for those interested in ecotourism in Kyrgyzstan silk road.
