City Baysun

Baysun (from Uzbek Boysun) - A town located in the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan, is the center of Boysun district. The city is located about 20 kilometers from the nearest railway station, on the line Guzar - Kumkurgan.

Baysun was granted a city status in 1975, having previously been a kishlak (village).

In the modern city there are enterprises of light industry. Baysun suburbs are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Town has a population of 23,700 people.
