Ak Sai Glacier offers some of Kyrgyzstan’s best hiking, ice and rock climbing. There are roughly 150 established routes up the glacier, making it the most documented area for climbers and alpinists in Kyrgyzstan. Routes range offer everything from hiking all the way up to extreme mixed climbs.
There are 4 base camps within the gorge, the most popular one being Ratsek Cabin. There are 80 routes available to hikers in this area. Some popular peaks include Box Peak (4,240 m), Simagin Peak (4,400 m), Baylyan Bashi Peak (4,700 m), Free Korea Peak (4,740 m), Korona Peak (4,860 m), and Semenov TyanShan Peak (4,875 m).
