Have you ever heard of Kel Suu? Most people haven’t either. It’s one of the most stunning lakes in Kyrgyzstan and it’s in an area so remote you’ll think you’ve reached the edge of the world. The thin ribbon of water sits among sheer rock walls near the Chinese border. It is an expedition just to get there. River crossings, mountain passes, and roads that make you feel like a mountain goat. Once you reach the lake, head out with a guide for a couple of days of hiking and horseback riding through untamed mountains in search of the elusive Marco Polo sheep (October and November) or other wildlife. With over 600 kilometers of dirt and gravel tracks, this is a rugged expedition. As with every trip, our goal is to create the feel of having an adventure road trip with friends. Jump in and let’s go!
