Gobustan – Baku city tour.

9.00 – Breakfast in the hotel. 10.00-13.30 Visit Gobustan National Park. Pay a visit to the Petroglyphs Museum and explore petroglyphs dating back to 10,000 BC. 13.30-15.00 Lunch time. 15.00 Old City tour. Start the tour with visit to Shirvashakhs palace” (XV c. under UNESCO protection), ancient quarter mosques (Mohammad’s mosque- XI c.), bath, samples of residential buildings, “Market Square” and Caravan Saray “Bukhara” (XVI c.) and “Multani” (XIV c.),“Giz Galasi” (Maiden Tower – Entrance) – the oldest construction of Baku (under UNESCO protection). 19.00 Dinner in restaurant.

Absheron Peninsula – Baku.

9.00 Breakfast in the hotel. 10.00-11.30 After a breakfast, you will visit the Cultural Center named by Heydar Aliyev that includes a conference hall, a gallery hall and a museum. The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 619,000-square-foot building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The center is named for Heydar Aliyev, the leader of Soviet-era Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan from October 1993 to October 2003. Heydar Aliyev Center had an official soft-opening ceremony on 10 May 2012 held by current president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Beginning of the evening excursion will be in Ateshgah. It is located 30 km from the center of Baku, on the southeastern outskirts of the village of Surakhany on Absheron Peninsula. It is the temple of Zoroastrians – Ateshgah (literally “The House of Fire”, “The Place of Fire”). Then you will visit to the archeological museum Gala and later you will visit one more special place – Yanar Dag, a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula. It is a phenomenon definitely worth seeing.

Baku – Shemakha – Sheki (about 300 km)
Itinerary
Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out. 09:00 Meeting your guide and departure to Sheki. Morning departure from Baku to Samakha. On the way, visit to Diri Baba mausoleum in Maraza village. In Shamakha, visit historical mosque Juma (Friday), mausoleum of Yeddi Gumbez (Seven Domes) – grave yard of Shirvan Shahs’. Continue driving through Muganly pass. Photo stops at the most beautiful places on the mountains 13:00-14:00 Lunch time. 16:00 Arrival to Sheki. Check-in at the hotel. 16:00-19:00 Sheki sightseeing tour. Visit to the local medieval fortress, Sheki Khans’ palace, local museum of history, local handicrafts workshop, panoramic view of the town, mosque-madrassah, local bazaar. Visit of the first church of Ancient Albania in the Kish village near from Sheki. Free time.

Shei-Qakh-Ilisu-Sheki (100 km)
Itinerary
Breakfast in the hotel. Start the tour with Qakh and Ilisi zones. In Qakh sightseeing’s tour across the most important monuments: new Georgian church, old Georgian church (doesn´t work). Visit of round Albanian temple in Qum village. In Ilisu visit of defensive fortress Sumuq qala, view of ancient bridge Ulu, outside view of Russian defensive tower Burch, ancient mosque of XVII c. (now is under reconstruction), old cemetery. Return to Sheki. Free time.

Itinerary
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out. Return to Baku. On the way visit of the village Nidj where you will see the Christian church of udies – the people of Albania of the Caucasus. Visit of ski resort Tufandag. Arrival to Baku. Overnight at the hotel.
