In the footsteps of the Grand Dukes (8km hike, climb - 400m; 280km by car)
Itinerary
For centuries, Armenia has always been drawn into bloody wars with huge armies of enemies, taking away the status of conqueror from each other. No wonder so many fortresses have survived here. Many of them are little-known, because they are located on the tops of mountains, in remote places. On this day, we are about to storm one of the largest fortresses in Armenia Smbataberd. Despite the wars and destruction in Armenia, culture and art have always developed, and masterpieces of world significance have been created. One of such masterpieces is undoubtedly the Noravank Monastery, known for its bas-reliefs and the world's first realistic depiction of God the Father.

Itinerary
On this day, we will go for a long but very interesting trip to the Lori region. Impassable forests, huge canyons with rumbling rivers, steep cliffs hanging over the road, this is the north of Armenia. Perhaps it was nature that inspired the great architect to create an architectural masterpiece - the Haghpat monastery, which is now included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. On this day, we will also visit the fortress, which offers a beautiful view of the deepest gorge in Armenia.
