Bishkek - Ala-Archa - Bishkek
Itinerary
Arrival at Manas International Airport early in the morning and transfer to a hotel were you can freshen up from the flight. After everyone is ready, transfer to Ala Archa National Park (40 km). Ala Archa contains an alpine gorge through which the fast flowing Ala Archa River runs. The gorge is flanked by tall, snow-covered peaks with steep, forested mountain slopes. Break for a picnic lunch then do some hiking in the gorge. Return to Bishkek. Dinner in a local restaurant.

Bishkek - Osh
Itinerary
After breakfast we will go on a sightseeing tour around Bishkek, visiting the following places: Oak Park, Ala Too Square, the Bishkek Concert Hall, Manas Statue, and Victory Square. Transfer to the airport where we will take a short flight down to Osh. Upon arrival in Osh, transfer to a hotel and then go on a tour of the city. It is said that Osh was founded by King Solomon ages ago and had an important position on trading routes of the Great Silk Road. As we tour the city, you will visit Sulaiman Too (Solomon’s Mountain) and Osh Bazaar, a market that has been open and in operation since the times of Great Silk Road.

Osh - Sary Tash
Itinerary
Transfer to Sary Tash (220 km) in the morning. On the way you will see beautiful forested mountain slopes, small rivers, and gorgeous panoramic views. After we stop for a picnic lunch, the road continues over Taldyk Pass (3,615 m) and descends into the village of Sary Tash. Dinner and overnight stay at a local guest house.

Sary Tash - Irkeshtam
Itinerary
Early in the morning we will drive to the Irkeshtam border (80 km). The view is unbelievably amazing with Pamir mountains covered in snow, glaciers on the right-hand side, and small hills on the left that serve as summer pastures. Arrive at the border (2,000 m asl). Cross the border and meet up with a Chinese tour company. Drive to Kashgar.

Kashgar
Itinerary
Go on a tour of the city of Kashgar. Places you will visit include the Id Kah Mosque (the largest Mosque in China) and the Mausoleum of Yusuf Khass Hajib.

Itinerary
Spend the day at the Sunday market. Marco Polo once wrote the following description about Kashgar: “It is an eastern Cairo, where there are mountains of goods and people swarm like bees.” The Sunday Bazaar is believed to be the largest outdoor market in the world.

Kashgar - Torugart - Tash Rabat - Naryn
Itinerary
After an early breakfast, transfer to Torugart Pass. Meet up with the Kyrgyz travel company at the Kyrgyz-Chinese border. Drive to Naryn. On the way to Naryn you will visit Tash Rabat, an 11th century caravanserai which served as an inn for travelers along the Great Silk Road. This is a carefully restored stone building.

Naryn - Lake Song Kul
Itinerary
Transfer to Lake Song Kul. Lake Song Kul is one of the highest lakes in Kyrgyzstan (3,016 m asl). The area surrounding the lake is dotted with the yurt camps of Kyrgyz nomads, giving you the opportunity to experience nomadic life and even sleep in a yurt (portable round felt tent). You will have the opportunity to go horseback riding, see edelweiss flowers, camels, yaks, golden eagles, as well as see how local women make the Kyrgyz national drink – kymyz (fermented mare’s milk).

Lake Song Kul - Kochkor - Bishkek
Itinerary
Transfer to Bishkek. On the way back to Bishkek you will stop in at the city of Kochkor where you will be able to see the process of how traditional Kyrgyz felt carpets are made (by hand). Eat lunch at the home of a local Kyrgyz family. Continue driving to Bishkek.
