Spend 10 days traveling around Kyrgyzstan and China, 2 countries steeped in Silk Road History. Start out the tour in Kyrgyzstan where you will visit the country’s most popular national park, a sacred mountain, 3,000-year-old Silk Road bazaar (that’s still very much in operation!), and remote village where you be fed a home-cooked meal by a local Kyrgyz family. Next you will skip over into China to the city of Kashgar where you will see China’s largest mosque and famous Sunday Bazaar. Then it is back to Kyrgyzstan again to visit an ancient Silk Road caravanserai, remote alpine lake surrounded by peaceful nomadic families, and village famous for producing traditional Kyrgyz handcrafts.
