Jeti-Oguz Valley, Kok-Jayik Valley and Jeti-Oguz waterfall are situated at the north slope of Teskey Ala-Too mountain range near the Issyk-Kul Lake in the Jeti-Oguz District of the Issyk-Kul region in Kyrgyzstan, about 28 km to the west from Karakol. There is also located a balneotherapic resort. This resort is a common destination of interest for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as well as a popular destination for tourists to Kyrgyzstan. The Jeti-Ögüz Rocks are located in vicinity of the resort. From the resort after several hours of horseback ride, one may reach a waterfall located in a gully, as well as a pine forest. This is a popular trek for tourists and visitors. After visiting the resort, you will ride up to the Kok-Jayik Valley and waterfall, really amazingly beautiful and very popular place.
- Juuku Thermal Springs is located in Chon-Kyzyl-Suu village 50-60 km to the west from Karakol. There is also a cave “Kyzyl Unkur”, the remains of Borombai manap’s life, who lived in the 19th century and the rock “Sim-Sim Open”.The hot springs leak in two buildings built in the form of yurt. Each pool is designed for 10-15 people. The duration of bathing not more than 30 minutes because of high temperature and radon.
- Barskoon Valley. Barskoon is also a village at the mouth of the Barskon Valley – where is located an impressive Barskoon waterfall “Leopard’s tears” and is a good center for trekking and horse riding. The 11th century scholar Mahmud al-Kashgari (also known as Barskhani) was a native of this area. The road to the south from Barskoon which passes up the Barskon valley (A364) used to be one of the routes of the Silk Road, passing over the Bedel Pass (4,284 m) into China (the section from Kara-Say to Bedel Pass is now closed). It is now the main road leading to the Kumtor Gold Mine – hence it is well maintained and there is a reasonable amount of traffic – including lorries making their way up to the mine and back. There are two interesting sights along the road – a Soviet lorry mounted on a plinth and a bust of Yuri Gagarin, who holidayed on the South shore of Issyk-Kul after his historical first manned space flight.
- Fairytale Valley is also one of the most amazingly beautiful places in this area. There are sandstone cliffs that have been shaped by centuries of wind and melting snow into an ensemble of columns, canyons and crag, ranging in color from deep red to bright orange. The most recognizable landmark of the Fairytale Valley – of course, a long chain of rocks, called the Chinese wall.
