Tbilisi City Tour
Itinerary
Full-day city tour of Tbilisi with visits to the Old Town, Metekhi Temple, 12th c., the Abanotubani, Narikala, – the main fortress of Tbilisi. Walking through some narrow streets, of along which some carpet and souvenir shops are situated. We will continue excursion in the old town. We visit the Sioni Cathedral 11th c. Anchiskhati Church 6th c. Visit Georgian National Museum (Closed on Mondays). Visit Rustaveli Avenue, the main street of Tbilisi. If cable train will operate we go to the Funicular for the views of the city.

Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Kazbegi – Tbilisi
Itinerary
We start a day by driving to Mtskheta. Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia is situated 20km from Tbilisi. Historians date the town back to the 2nd millennium B.C. Mtskheta was the capital of Georgian Kingdom of Iberia between 500BC – 500AD. Here Georgians accepted Christianity in the beginning of the 4th century. The town and its architectural monuments are listed as the World’s Cultural Heritage sites by UNESCO. Visit Jvari Monastery (6th c.) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th c.). Than we drive along the Georgian Military Highway, the historical road leading north into the Caucasian Mountains and then to Russia. It passes the spectacular Ananuri fortress (16th– 17th cc.), where we have excursion. We continue driving to Kazbegi by crossing the Jvari Pass (2395m) on the Greater Caucasus. (1700m). Drive back to Tbilisi

Tbilisi – Gremi – Azerbaijan border
Itinerary
Drive to Georgia’s famous wine growing region, Kakheti. Visit Gremi, from the 16th century until the invasion of Shah Abbas at the close of the 17th. C it was the capital of Kakheti. It consisted of several districts: church, royal residence and the tradesmen’s’ quarter. The Archangel Church, considered one of the masterpieces of late Medieval Kakhetian architecture, was built in 1565 and painted in 1577. It hosted intensive cultural and creative activities. We continue driving to the town Kvareli where we have delicious lunch for extra and also visit the winery to taste Georgian wines – as an option. Arrive at the border with Azerbaijan at 16.00.

Sheki – Kish
Itinerary
Breakfast in the hotel. Sheki sightseeing tour. Visit to the local medieval fortress, Sheki Khans’ palace, local museum of history, local handicrafts workshop, panoramic view of the town, mosque-madrassah, local bazaar. Trip to village Kish near Sheki town –twenty minutes by bus. Visit to the first church in Caucasus 1 c. Overnight in hotel in Sheki or in guest house in Kish.

Sheki – Shemakha – Baku
Itinerary
8.00 Breakfast in the hotel. 08:00 Check-out, departure to Baku. On the way visit to Diri Baba mausoleum in Maraza village. In Shamakha visit to historical mosque Juma (Friday), mausoleum of Yeddi Gumbez (Seven Domes) – grave yard of Shirvan Shahs’. Photo stops in the most beutiful places of the mountains. Arrival to Baku. Dinner in the hotel.

Baku – Old City – Gobustan (60-70 km away from Baku)
Itinerary
10.00 Departure to the south-east of Baku to Gobustan reserve. Visit to Mud volcans that is natural unical phenomenon. They are included into list of UNSECO. Continue tour to Gobustan.Visiting of historic – art reserve Gobustan (65 km. from Baku). Acquaintance with the archaeological exposition of the museum, survey of inhabitants and acquaintance with the lifestyle of the people of an epoch of the “Stone Age” (7-8 thousand years B.C). Studying of the remained petroglyphic painting.

14:00 Lunch time Sightseeing Baku holiday tour – walking tour and acquaintance with the history and architecture of city (period XIX- XX c): Nizami street /shopping/, Fountain Square, Nizami Ganjavi monument, further Rasul-Zade street. – Visiting of “National history Museum of Azerbaijan” 16.00 Baku sightseeing tour. Sightseeing in an “Old City” – medieval sight of Baku: Shirvashakhs palace (XV c. under UNESCO protection), ancient quarter mosques (Mohammad’s mosque- XI c.), bath, samples of residential buildings, Market Square and Caravan Saray Bukhara (XVI c.) and Multani (XIV c.), Giz Galasi (Maiden Tower – Entrance) – the oldest construction of Baku (under UNESCO protection). Visit to Memory Alley – Shehidler Khiyabany, panoramic view of Baku city from the park. Walk along the Boulevard and main streets of Baku. Dinner in the local restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.

Absheron Peninsula
Itinerary
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit of ethnographical museum under open air in Qala village. Here you can familiarize with style of life of prehistorical people that lived here 3000 years ago. Lunch in local restaurant. After lunch trip to Absheron Peninsula. Visit to flaming mountain – Yanardag, Temple of Fire Worshippers’ – Ateshgah. Dinner in local restaurant.
