You need to be in good physical condition and have the expertise that is required for the activities you want to include. You can either bring your own bicycle or rent a bicycle in Bishkek. You should bring a riding cap, warm clothes and raincoat. Our interpreter and local guides will accompany you and are ready to help you if it is needed. Encounter the life and the culture of the nomads of Kyrgyzstan. In Bishkek you will spend the night in the Umai Hotel.
During the remaining part of the tour you will sleep in B&Bs and yurts – nomadic tents made of felt. Do not expect any luxury, you will live the life the monads live in this part of the world. See how herdsmen make ‘Kymyz’, the national drink made of mare milk. Listen to the children singing their songs and playing their instruments.
This bicycling trips is available from the beginning of May until the middle of October. Temperatures in the mountains can be quite low at the start and end of season so some warm clothes may be required. A raincoat/cape and hiking shoes/boots are strongly recommended.
