China looks like the place where everything is fast and takes life. It is beautiful, enchanting, inspiring and always has a story to tell to you, the things that nobody tells you, is that China is by far not so magic and perfect as it seems on the first sight. Let’s look more into the things you must have in your mind before you decide to make your trip real! Enjoy our China travel guide!
Airline delays
It’s extremely specific for the local airline companies to be late few hours, so always be prepared for this delays by having some snacks in your bag and an emergency kit (toothbrush, underwear, personal care products, and a book for shortening the time) this will save you lot of time and stress. After all, what can be more important than to feel good in every situation?
Travel by train… always
First of all, there are many high-speed trains which actually are taking almost the same time as the planes. Secondly, you can enjoy a great sightseeing from the window, and it is well known that in China there’s never bad weather, just wrong part of the country, at least somewhere right now is absolutely perfect weather; it’s a very specific Chinese magic. Thirdly, trains offer you the chance to interact with the locals of all ages and social status.
Exchange money in a smart way
Try to not exchange a big amount in the airports or train stations, the commissions are really crazy there, or at least the exchange rate is not really favourable. Solution? Take the money on a debit card and withdraw them in a Chinese ATM, yes, there is a fee for that, but it’s still a much better option than exchanging elsewhere else.
Pay attention to what you eat and remember a golden rule, the spicy food uses to become even spicier more to the south you go. This rule actually applies only if you want to eat authentic food (which can be found even on the street; street food in China is delicious), but there are usually many western alternatives in every more or less big city.
Be patient
Patience is the number one thing you need when visiting this Asian gem. There are queues everywhere, and yes, they move extremely slow, so take a book and read, that’s the only thing you really can do about it. It’s just the way the locals are.
China is beautiful, but the same way as every other country in the world, it can’t be absolutely perfect, take in count those few rules and enjoy it fully!
