In June 2017 Silk Road Explore became a resident of the High Tech Park of the Kyrgyz Republic. We are very pleased with this event, which is really important not only for our company, but also for the potential of Kyrgyzstan in general.
High Tech Park (HTP) was established in Kyrgyzstan in 2012 to develop the domestic software development industry, the export of information technologies and software; Creation and rendering of services of interactive service centers. The special tax regime of ITP establishes exemption from profit tax, sales tax and value added tax, as well as from payment of insurance contributions in full for 15 years from the date of creation of HTP in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic. Its residents can be both local and foreign companies, provided that not
less than 80% of their services are exported. Instead, employees of HTP residents are to pay a 5% income tax and insurance fees at a rate of 12% of the average monthly salary.
It is noteworthy that Online Travel Shop Silk Road Explore became the first technological tourism project in the HT Park of Kyrgyzstan.
Having connected tour operators and potential tourists with each other, we have become an excellent solution for travelers from all over the world – enabling them to find a tour in Kyrgyzstan and other countries of the Great Silk Road and purchase it in almost one click. We have created a quality product that offers tours in 10 countries (more than 200 ready tours from 40 providers across Asia and the Caucasus), car rental in 5 countries, as well as the possibility to create an individual tour and pay for them using Visa and MasterCard.
The main goals of SRE becoming a resident of HTP are our desire to increase the competitiveness of the company, both on the domestic and the world market of tourist services; formation of a professional team of specialists, increasing the salaries and skills of our staff and promoting tourism in Kyrgyzstan and the countries of the Silk Road, the most popular destination for tourists by 2020 (according to forecasts of the World Tourism Organization).
The Chairman of Kyrgyz Software and Services Developers Association, Azis Abakirov, in one of his interviews said: “We seriously aim to become a bridge between the West and the East, so that our High Tech Park will become an intellectual hub and a magnet for talents from around the world. Many foreigners feel comfortable living in Bishkek, and the HTP could give them the opportunity to live here and work. “
We are very pleased that in Kyrgyzstan attention is paid and favorable conditions are created for further development of such IT projects as we are. Having become the first tourist project among the residents of HT Park of Kyrgyzstan, we will make every effort for Kyrgyzstan to be known throughout the world as a part of the great Silk Road and to develop as a tourist center, including virtually.
