We have great news. Sand Sculpture Festival will be held in the framework of the World Nomad Games on the shores of Issyk Kul Lake! Festival “Magic Sand of Issyk Kul 2016” will be opened in Cholpon Ata on August 25, and will be the first such event in Kyrgyzstan.
The festival will feature compositions on the theme “World Nomad Games”, “25 years of independence of Kyrgyz Republic” and “Year of history and culture of Kyrgyzstan.” Sculptors of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as all interested persons who have the necessary skills to work with sculptures will demonstrate their work.
On the territory of the festival children’s playground will be also organized. There, young visitors will be able to make sand castles.
The festival will be accompanied by ethno-concert with the participation of famous stars, dance groups and folklore ensembles. The event will last until the end of September of current year.
We remind you that about a thousand athletes from 53 countries will participate the World Nomad Games 2016. Second World Nomad Games will be held in Issyk Kul from 3 to 8 September of current year. The competition program includes 23 sports disciplines. Including horseracing and horse competitions, martial arts, national games, traditional archery competitions, sports competitions in national hunting, the traditional intellectual games.
