Early September was a truly great event for Kyrgyzstan because of the Second World Nomad Games. The country played as a host for the participants and guests from around the world, including movie stars and singers. Second World Nomad Games started in Issyk-Kul on September 3 and will last until 8 September.
The program of the World Nomad Games 2016 includes 26 national sports: horse racing and horseriding competitions, the festival of martial arts, archery competitions, the traditional intellectual games, sports competitions in national kinds of hunting.
In addition, from September 4 to 7 in the framework of the World Nomad Games there was opened unprecedented yurt ethno town “Kyrgyz Aiyly” with 288 yurts in a picturesque Kyrchyn Gorge. Guests were able to experience the pristine culture of nomads and be acquainted with the customs and traditions of the Kyrgyz people.
Folklore festival “Nomad’s Universe” take place as part of the World Nomad Games in Kyrchyn Gorge: theatrical performances, craftspeople competitions, national costumes, yurts, folklore performances of participants from all regions of the country and more from September 4-7, 2016.
As for the results, today is the penultimate day of the Games. In the medal standings, team of Kyrgyzstan is leader, which has won 40 medals (13 gold, 12 silver, 15 bronze). On the second place Russia – 24 ( 10, 6, 8 ), the third Kazakhstan – 19 medals ( 5, 6, 8 ).
Tomorrow, September 8, will be sizing up and the official closing ceremony of the Second World Nomad Games.
We would like to remind you that the sale of tickets for the closing ceremony of the World Nomad Games continues. It will take place September 8, 2016 in the city of Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region. Tickets for the closing of the WorldNomad Games are available at the central post offices in Bishkek 
and Cholpon-Ata, in the boutique the eastern grandstand racetrack in Baktuu Dolonotu village, as well as through a special mobile application “World Nomad Games 2016.” Ticket price depends on the location of places on the podium, and will vary from 300 to 2000 soms.
