Best gifts you can bring from you travel to Georgia.

adventure-in-georgia-1Today, Georgia is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination, especially among European travelers as its recreational opportunities seem to be at an optimal price-quality ratio. Part of the country’s territory is washed by Black Sea and the local beaches are clean and, to some extent, virgin. In calm weather, the water is transparent to a depth of fifteen – twenty meters. For fans of ski resorts, there are slopes with different types of trails for amateurs and professionals. Georgia is also famous for its health resorts and, of course, the historical and cultural heritage of the country, which counts many thousand years.

Naturally, visiting Georgia, everybody wants to get a lot of beechwood-inn-22impressions and to take some of them home as a souvenir.

Wine. This souvenir is on the first place! Many archaeologists and historians agree that Georgia is a country where was the first born cultural winemaking. In local museums can be found amphorae for wine, which were found during excavations on the territory of the country. Many of them belong to the fifth century BC. Therefore the wine with such ancient tradition is surely excellent. Its taste qualities are recognized all over the world. You can bring wine for friends and family, and of course, do not forget to lay up a couple of bottles for yourself. The most popular Georgian wine is “Alazani Valley”, “Akhasheni”, “Kindzmarauli”, “Kakheti”, Georgian-Cheese“Mukuzani”, “Napareuli”, “Saperavi” and others.

Cheese. Tradition of cheese making in Georgia also goes in the deep past. Cheese can be purchased in a store, and on the market. But the best place to buy this product is in cheese shops where cheese is elevated to the rank of art, both in appearance and in taste. The best cheese to take to the road is a smoked cheese, as it lasts longer.

Churchkhela is a perfect present with Georgian flavor. Probably only a set of spices is better. To carry this delicacy is very handy: weighs little, long shelf life, a natural product, there are several variants: in the bright and dark juice, different in size and price.

27460Chacha – vodka produced from grapes in the Northern Caucasus.

Georgian chacha – vodka from grapes refers to brandy as a strong drink, because sometimes the percentage of alcohol in it reaches 60%. A real Georgian chacha vodka is made only from grapes Rkatsiteli and refers to a class of grape brandy. And its closest analogue is the Italian grappa.

Currently, vodka chacha is made in Georgia by an ancestral (primitive) method, and by an industrial way, and even exported to other countries. You can buy Chacha on the market, in supermarket and in Duty Free.

Spice. For many tourists in Georgia to buy spices is very important. georgia-peach-spice-1We suggest you a place where you can buy “Hmeli suneli” and other spices of the highest quality and most reasonable prices. The shop is located on the territory close to Tbilisi central clothing market, in the part where they sell cakes, tea, coffee, etc. In Tbilisi, this shop knows almost everyone who loves to cook and appreciate the deliciously cooked food.

Silver jewelry. Georgian jewelers have their own method
of working with silver. Moreover, each ornament, with all modernity in design implementation, is done with ancient traditions and identity of the people. On the market you can buy rare jewelry with its own history. For the best jewelry visit a special Jewelry Bazaar, which is located in
Tbilisi.
