Day 1: Bishkek – Kyzyl Oi
Itinerary
Arrive in Bishkek and enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant. Begin driving to the village of Kyzyl Oi, crossing the Too Ashuu Pass (3,000 m) and stopping for a picnic lunch on the way. The road to Kyzyl Oi is one of the most gorgeous stretches in Kyrgyzstan, so have your camera ready! Arrive in Kyzyl Oi. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at a guest house.

2
Day 2: Kyzyl Oi – Lake Song Kul
Itinerary
After breakfast at the guest house, we’ll make our way to the beautiful alpine lake, Song Kul, enjoying some leisurely stops along the way: light hiking, picnic, fishing, etc. At Lake Song Kul, we’ll spend the night at a yurt camp next to the lake’s edge.

3
Day 3: Lake Song Kul – Tash Rabat
Itinerary
Head to Tash Rabat, a Silk Road caravanserai used by travelers and merchants. On the drive there we’ll stop for a picnic and take advantage of some fabulous photo and video opportunities. Overnight stay at a yurt camp.

4
Day 4: Tash Rabat – Naryn
Itinerary
After breakfast we’ll go for a morning horseback ride. Eat lunch then depart for Naryn, a city nestled in between 2 gorges. The drive to Naryn affords lots of opportunities to meet nomadic families and learn about their culture and way of life. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Naryn.

Day 5: Naryn – Tamga
Itinerary
Start driving towards Tamga. To get to Tamga, we’ll be crossing the Eki Naryn River and the Tosor Pass (4,020 m). This drive takes us through the beautiful, untamed wilderness of the Central Tien Shan Mountains. Dinner and overnight accommodations at a guest house.

Day 6: Tamga – Fairy Tale Canyon – Jeti Oguz – Karakol
Itinerary
Visit the Jeti Oguz Gorge and Fairy Tale Canyon, two places with stunning and unique rock formations. Continue driving along the southern shore of Lake Issyk Kul (the world’s second largest alpine lake) until we reach Karakol. Dinner and overnight accommodations at a guest house.

Day 7: Karakol – Altyn Arashan – Karakol
Itinerary
Take a day trip to Altyn Arashan, “Golden Hot Springs.” Bask in the peaceful ambiance of alpine meadows, gorgeous scenery, and take a dip in the hot springs. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the gorge. Drive back to Karakol for a folk show and dinner. Overnight accommodations at a guest house.

Day 8: Karakol – Grigoriev Gorge – Cholpon Ata
Itinerary
Visit Karakol’s Przhevalski Museum and the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church. Afterwards head to the Grigoriev Gorge filled with vibrant, unique plant life. Go for a horseback ride and watch a demonstration of one of the national horse games. Dinner and overnight accommodations at a hotel.

Day 9: Cholpon Ata – Burana Tower – Bishkek
Itinerary
Visit Cholpon Ata’s open air petroglyph museum and the Manas Ordo Museum. Stop by the Silk Road monument, Burana Tower, on the way back to Bishkek. Rafting along the Chu River is available upon request in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight accommodations at a hotel in Bishkek.
