1
Day 1: Bishkek – Chichkan Gorge
Itinerary
We’ll meet you at Manas Airport and head straight for breakfast at a restaurant called Uncle Tom’s Cabin. After breakfast we’ll drive to the Chichkan Gorge about 240 km away. On the road to the gorge you’ll get excellent views of various Tien Shan canyons and gorges as well as cross over the Too Ashuu Pass. Break for a picnic lunch and take in the sights of the Chu and Suusamyr Valleys. Arrive at the Chichkan Reserve, eat dinner, and stay the night at a guest house. Here you can enjoy some time resting on the banks of an alpine river.

2
Day 2: Chichkan Gorge – Lake Sary Chelek
Itinerary
Drive to Lake Sary Chelek (roughly 345 km), passing Toktogul Resevoir and breaking for a picnic. Upon arrival at the lake, boat rides are optional. Overnight accommodations at a guest house.

3
Day 3: Lake Sary Chelek – Arslanbob
Itinerary
After breakfast we’ll head to the Arslanbob walnut forests (driving distance: 320 km, drive time: 5-6 hours). This valley is popular for its excellent health resorts. Dinner and overnight accommodations at a CBT (community based tourism) guest house.

4
Day 4: Arslanbob – Jalal-Abad – Kazarman
Itinerary
In the morning we’ll take a trip to a nearby waterfall and then head to the village of Kazarman via the city of Jalal-Abad. Stop to visit a local bazaar in Jalal-Abad. Dinner and overnight accommodations at a CBT guest house in the village of Kazarman.

Day 5: Kazarman - Saimaluu Tash - Kazarman
Itinerary
Spend the day exploring the area for ancient petroglyphs that are interesting on both a cultural and historical level. Our guide will share lots of the interesting information and legends. This area affords excellent photo and video opportunities and also makes a great place to just relax and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. Saimaluu Tash is also famous for its petroglyphs that include approximately 40,000 drawings. If desired, it’s possible to spend the night in Saimaluu Tash.

6
Day 6: Kazarman- Lake Song Kul
Itinerary
After breakfast we’ll drive towards Lake Song Kul, stopping for a picnic along the banks of a river and crossing a mountain pass. Arrive at Lake Song Kul in the evening. At the lake there’s an opportunity to see some national equestrian games. Dinner and overnight accommodations at a yurt camp on the edge of the lake.

7
Day 7: Lake Song Kul – Tash Rabat
Itinerary
In the morning we’ll drive to the historical Silk Road monument, Tash Rabat. Tash Rabat was originally founded by monks in the 10th century, but was converted into a caravanserai, or inn, during the heyday of the Silk Road. We’ll cross several mountain passes in order to reach Tash Rabat and stop for a picnic. After exploring Tash Rabat, eat dinner and spend the night in yurts. A Russian bath is available upon request.

8
Day 8: Tash Rabat – Naryn – Kichi Naryn
Itinerary
After breakfast you can enjoy a horseback ride if desired. Then we’ll drive to the Kichi Naryn River and stop for lunch at a cozy little café in Naryn. We’ll continue driving along the Naryn River and cross some small passes. Arrive at the Kichi Naryn River by evening. Enjoy dinner on the banks of the river and set up camp for the night.

Day 9: Kichi Naryn- Tamga
Itinerary
Drive to the village of Tamga near Lake Issyk Kul. In order to get there we’ll cross the Tosor Pass, the highest pass we’ll cross during the tour. Dinner and overnight accommodations at the Askar & Tamara Guest House.

10
Day 10: Tamga - Jeti Oguz - Karakol
Itinerary
After breakfast we’ll visit the Jeti Oguz “Seven Bulls” Gorge. This gorge is famous for its gorgeous red rock formations that were once even depicted on Soviet postage stamps. We’ll also visit another rock formation in the area called Broken Heart. Afterwards we’ll continue on to Karakol where we’ll have dinner and spend the night at the Green Yard Guest House. 11
Day 11: Karakol - Cholpon Ata
Itinerary
Drive to the city of Cholpon Ata, stopping along the way to watch a falconry show. We’ll also stop by both the Grigoriev and Semonov Gorges and visit the Tash Suu hot springs. Arrive in Cholpon Ata and enjoy swimming in Lake Issyk Kul, the most popular lake in Kyrgyzstan. Dinner and overnight accommodations at the Three Crowns Resort.

12
Day 12: Cholpon Ata - Bishkek
Itinerary
Start driving back to Bishkek. On the way we can stop to do some river rafting in the Boom Gorge if desired. We’ll also visit Burana Tower, a historic Silk Road monument. Stop for lunch at the Hawaii Café. Afterwards we’ll continue on to Bishkek. Souvenir shopping and farewell dinner in Bishkek. Overnight accommodations at the Asia Mountains Hotel.
